GOL & Tripgate FAQ

What is the Travelfusion fee?

The $5 fee compensates for our Travelfusion content costs, sparing the agency from a €2000 annual license fee. By directly engaging with Travelfusion using your own license, the per-ticketed PNR cost reduces to $3. Travelfusion bills agencies for bookings and asks for a deposit, enabling agencies to apply their own mark-up.

Is it feasible to adjust your system to account for varying administrative fees across different airlines? And, can the fee be integrated into the total airfare cost, rather than being shown separately?

For a clear, user-friendly booking experience, our system can incorporate unique service fees for diverse airlines. You have the flexibility to set your service fee as a fixed sum, percentage, or a combination of both, even adjusting it based on destination and cabin class.

These fees will be included in the total price shown to users, ensuring complete cost transparency and eliminating unexpected charges.

Can we set a fixed conversion rate in the system to convert prices to another currency? This would let us pass on the appropriate charge to the passenger during booking.

The service fee applied to customers matches the currency of your Point of Consolidation Control (PCC). However, our booking fee is in USD, and it's deducted from the deposit transferred to our account, which is also in USD. Hence, currency conversion isn't necessary.

How long does the implementation process takes?

For existing Travelport subscribers, the usual implementation period ranges from 2 to 4 weeks, starting from the time we confirm receipt of your subscription payment. Please be aware that the precise timeline can fluctuate depending on the unique features and functionalities you desire for your system. The implementation sequence includes several dependencies that can impact the overall timeframe.

Can I add an extra content?

We kindly ask that you supply our team with the documentation for your preferred content providers. This will enable us to evaluate the integration timeline and cost. Historically, such integrations can be expensive. Furthermore, after discussing with our team and considering our current project obligations for this year, we can feasibly assign resources for a large-scale integration like this only in the following year.

You have the option to integrate a multi-tab search form into your website, akin to the example shown at http://avenstravel.com. You can customize the Flight tab, or name it as per your preference, to include the GOL IBE or TripGate search form. The remaining tabs can host search forms or lead to landing pages of your chosen content providers. This solution is not only stylish but also readily available at no extra cost. It offers travelers the convenience of finding everything they need in one location. For you, it allows your agents to manage bookings individually through separate admin consoles for each content provider. Additionally, the multi-tab concept can be incorporated into the mobile app by adding extra tabs to the app's primary menu.

Payment gateway implementation?

The development implementation cost stands at $2000. Upon issuing the invoice, we will initiate the development process as soon as payment is received. It's important to note that the estimated timeline for development is around 6 weeks. Additionally, we will require access to the bank's API documentation.

Can your team handle the integration of APIs from various suppliers if provided by a customer?

Indeed, if a service can be integrated via an API, it suggests techniical viability. However, without a comprehensive review of the API, we can't offer specifics, as each integration's complexity can differ. Based on our experience, a project timeline of at least 3 months should be expected. The cost per development hour is $65. For a more precise estimation and timeline tailored to your specific integration requirements, further analysis and discussion would be necessary.

Can we display prices side by side for various dates?

Unfortunately, the existing system doesn't support displaying prices side by side for various dates.

The "Integration of accommodation affiliate" feature means adding a specific URL link on your website that directs users to external platforms, such as Booking.com, to finalize their reservations. The benefit of this affiliate link is that it embeds your Booking.com ID. This ensures that bookings made by users are credited to you, enabling you to earn a commission for those reservations.

How does the autometed ticketing feature works?

The automated ticketing feature in our online booking tools allows for the automatic issuance of bookings. While this offers efficiency, we also recognize the need for versatility. Hence, our system provides the option to make manual entries in Smartpoint for various purposes. Any Passenger Name Records (PNRs) created online can be managed just as you would with traditional methods, offering you flexibility and unhindered operation. This facilitates a streamlined workflow, granting you complete control over your reservations.

Our Online Booking Tools (OBEs) automatically create passive segments within the Global Distribution System (GDS). The effective integration with your back-office system depends on its ability to read MIR (Master Itinerary Repricing) files. If your system is adept at processing MIR files, then incorporating these passive segments becomes a streamlined task."

What types of payment methods can you accommodate?

If ticketing through a consolidator from another PCC, agencies can either manually queue the request or use tools like CEE's Queue Processor. This tool is versatile and cost-effective, handling this scenario and more.

TripGate

What if we adopt a payment gateway to secure full payment for hotel bookings rather than relying on a guarantee?

Collecting payment from customers to the agency via a payment gateway poses few obstacles. However, the challenge lies in the GDS's guarantee requirement, which typically calls for a credit card. It's impractical for us to gather, store, and transmit the traveler's card information to the GDS. Ideally, an agency card should be used for guarantee purposes, but it seems that the agency may be hesitant to guarantee every booking. Also, the GDS consists of a mix of pre-paid and post-paid hotels. If we choose to filter only pre-paid options, it drastically reduces the available offerings. These factors, among others, are the main reasons we currently restrict the content to TripGate for B2B customers.

How many corporations can my agency implement in TripGate?

TripGate enables the implementation of an unlimited number of corporations.

Is it mandatory to utilize the auto-ticketing feature?

Agents have the option to manually process bookings on Qs and issue tickets as auto-ticketing is not mandatory.

In TripGate, there is a wide range of options for configuring a travel policy. With over 27 settings to choose from, you can adjust details like cabin class restrictions, price ceilings, advance purchase, segment times, and more. These settings provide flexibility and control in tailoring the travel policy to meet your specific needs and requirements.

Is TripGate capable of approving trips on multiple levels?

TripGate supports a robust trip approval mechanism with the capability for both single-level and multi-level approval processes. Users can define up to 100 different levels, granting them granular control over the entire approval workflow. Each of these levels offers six distinct approval configuration choices to cater to varied organizational needs. Moreover, TripGate includes features for setting exceptions in the approval process, further enhancing its flexibility.

Can one opt for a monthly subscription without being subjected to any per-ticket charges?

When tickets are manually issued, no auto-ticketing surcharge is applied. Nonetheless, pricing based on issued tickets remains fundamental to our revenue model and cannot be bypassed. The monthly fee addresses various services, including server maintenance, help desk support, and implementation assistance. It's pivotal to understand that this fee is levied per agency, not per corporation.

How does TripGate handle user role assignments, and what functionalities are associated with each role?

TripGate utilizes a comprehensive user role management system, providing specific capabilities tailored to various stakeholders. The platform defines five distinct roles to meet diverse user needs:

  1. Traveller: The Traveller lacks booking capabilities. Designed for travel arrangers to make reservations on their behalf, each Traveller profile allows Administrators to maintain essential details, such as travel preferences, contact data, loyalty program affiliations, and more.

  2. Solo Traveller: Catered for those managing their own trips, Solo Travellers can access personal profiles, view booking histories, and initiate new reservations.

  3. Manager: Tasked with green-lighting team members' travel plans, Managers play a crucial role in travel approvals.

  4. Travel Arranger: Specifically for individuals appointed as travel coordinators or assistants, this role enables bookings for assigned travellers or team members.

  5. Administrator: Commanding the broadest system access, Administrators can modify user roles, set travel policies, adjust settings, and handle various administrative chores to ensure seamless system functionality.

These distinct user roles in TripGate allow for a clear division of responsibilities and ensure that each user has the appropriate level of access and capabilities based on their role within the organization.

Is it possible for a Corporate account to directly purchase TripGate?
