Installation
To install the Group Processor:
Run the distribution file from any folder: gp_setup_x.x.x.x.exe.
Follow the on-screen setup guide.
If Windows displays any security warnings, simply confirm and proceed.
Installation Prerequisites
The Group Processor communicates with the Galileo™ GDS by sending background commands through Smartpoint, using the Galileo Desktop API.
For successful operation, a Viewpoint TCP/IP stack must be properly configured on the PC.
Welcome Screen
The welcome screen is informational only. It displays the version of Group Processor to be installed and does not require user interaction.
Additional Tasks Selection
In this step, you can choose optional setup tasks:
Add the #GRP Quick Command to Galileo Smartpoint
Create a desktop shortcut for the Group Processor application
The #GRP Quick Command option is enabled by default.
The first option is enabled as default.
Ready to Install Screen
This screen informs user about final installation details (Destination location, Start Menu folder and selected options). Destination location and start menu folder are hard coded in the installer and cannot be changed.
Smartpoint Quick Commands Confirmation
Successful #GRP installation is confirmed by the message box. Smartpoint must be restarted to accept new Quick commands setting.
When #GRP quick command is already present in Smartpoint setting, only the information screen is displayed.
Above screens are not shown, if the #GRP Quick command installation is not selected.
Final Confirmation
The final screen confirms that the Group Processor has been successfully installed on your PC.
