Galileo Group Booking Process
Once the PNR has been successfully parsed without errors, the booking process can be initiated by clicking the “Process Booking” button.
Pre-booking Validation
Before proceeding, the application verifies that:
The agent is correctly signed in to Galileo™.
There is no active Booking File (BF) open in the Smartpoint workspace.
If either condition is not met, the application displays an alert and automatically switches back to Smartpoint for user action.
Booking Execution
During the booking process, the application actively monitors host communication stability to ensure a reliable transaction.
If all validations pass, the Input Data field is transformed into a host communication terminal, where the full booking process is logged in real time. The terminal displays:
Commands sent to the host
Responses received from the host
Internal program messages and comments
Each of these elements is color-coded to enhance readability (see example on the next page).
Group segments are booked using the status code “AK” or “YK”, depending on the option selected in the Booking Status Code field on the Main screen.
Post-Booking Options
Once the booking is complete, Group Processor checks whether CEE Fare Builder is installed on the PC. If it is, a pop-up window presents the agent with three choices:
Continue to Fare Builder to proceed with fare creation
Exit to Smartpoint (or back to the Desktop if launched outside Smartpoint)
Stay in Group Processor to review the booking communication log
If CEE Fare Builder is not installed, only the last two options (Exit or Stay) are available:
